In this session, Dr. Bridwell will discuss the appropriate utilization of PET/CT in Breast Cancer, particularly for staging and restaging high risk patients and those suspected with metastatic disease. He will also review the role of FDG PET/CT in Response Assessment and Recurrence and explain how PET/CT may be effectively employed in patients with inner quadrant disease, particularly in assisting surgical and radiation therapy planning.He will also detail of the limitations and pitfalls of this imaging modality, including false positives and false negatives and outline the basics of NaF Sodium Fluoride PET/CT and contrast it with FDG PET/CT for detecting osseous metastatic disease.
