In this session, Darcy Phillips (BS, CNMT) will:
• Focus on how Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT programs can implement strategies to maximize service to physicians and their patients, while ensuring the effectiveness of clinical and administrative staff.
• Discuss FDG and other PET/CT radioisotopes and their different applications and procedures, including efficient scheduling and maximized throughput for diagnostic procedures
• Review adoption of new products, including training, physician education and outreach needed
• Provide strategies for maximizing technologists’ skills, improving reports and maintaining communication with referring physicians
Darcy M. Phillips, BS, CNMT, is a Clinical Account Executive in the U.S. Northeast Region for SOFIE. She has over 30 years of experience in the Nuclear Medicine arena, including technical, management and sales posts in nuclear cardiology and PET imaging at physician offices, in the hospital setting and in the radiopharmaceutical industry. Building on a career as a nuclear medicine technologist, Darcy has developed exceptional experience in radiology and nuclear medicine department supervision, as well as corporate radiopharmaceutical account management. Prior to joining SOFIE Darcy was Department Manager at Yale New Haven Health’s Lawrence & Memorial Hospital (New London, CT), delivering outstanding staff leadership in Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology Imaging, Radiology Scheduling and PET/CT Imaging Services. She holds a BS degree in Healthcare Administration from Charter Oak State College (New Britain, CT) as well as a Nuclear Medicine Technology degree from Quinnipiac University (New Haven, CT).
